As an Individual Budget Liaison, you will play a vital role in ensuring people receive the right supports in a way that is both person-centered and sustainable. By helping individuals, families, and providers navigate service budgets and funding, you will directly contribute to improving lives and strengthening our community.
What You’ll Do
- Review, analyze, and approve locally and waiver-funded service requests.
- Partner with Individual Support Coordinators (ISCs), individuals, and families to develop budgets that align with individual goals.
- Serve as a resource for providers, offering guidance on billing, authorizations, and utilization.
- Monitor and track budgets to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Support local service management by overseeing purchase orders, tracking invoices, and ensuring proper use of resources.
- Provide training and technical assistance to staff and providers on budgeting and funding processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, business/public administration, accounting, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as an ISC (SSA) or in developmental disabilities services involving ISPs, HCBS Waivers, or budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, financial management, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and familiarity with DODD systems preferred.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to person-centered practices.
