On-Site Medication Provider (PMHNP-BC, Physician, Physician Assistant, APRN, CNS, CNM, or CNP!)

Provides comprehensive medical care services within an addiction treatment setting, focusing on medication management and treatment for clients with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Works as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, holistic care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and health assessments for new and existing clients
  • Develop and manage treatment plans, incorporating both medical and behavioral health needs
  • Prescribe and manage medications within scope of practice, including addiction treatment medications (e.g., Suboxone) when appropriately certified
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record system
  • Coordinate care with internal treatment team members and external healthcare providers
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other relevant regulations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations
  • Provide clinical oversight of medication records and treatment protocols
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with focus on Psychiatric nursing
  • Current, unencumbered state APRN license
  • Valid DEA certificate
  • Board certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing (PMHNP-BC)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in behavioral health or addiction treatment
  • Experience with electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in addiction medicine and MAT services
  • Previous experience in community mental health settings
  • Demonstrated supervision experience

Working Conditions

  • Must maintain all required certifications, including CPR/First Aid

Physical Requirements

Position involves alternating periods of sitting, standing, and movement while providing patient care. Must be able to operate computer systems and perform basic physical assessments.
