About Undergraduate Admissions
Undergraduate Admissions supports outreach and recruitment strategy, admission policy and processes, and yield initiatives for domestic and international first-year, transfer, adult and non-degree students enrolling on all Ohio University’s campuses and in OHIO Online programs. The Undergraduate Admissions team is comprised of more than 50 full-time staff members, including a talented recruitment team based in Athens, as well as a growing team of strategically positioned staff members on each regional campus, in key markets throughout the U.S. and around the world. Undergraduate Admissions supports colleges, schools, and departments in the pursuit of academically specific recruitment and admission goals.


Leadership Profile & Position Summary
Located on the Lancaster or Zanesville campus of Ohio University, this position serves as the primary undergraduate recruiter for all six campuses within an assigned geographic territory. The Regional Recruitment Manager represents their assigned campus and the University both on- and off-campus to a wide variety of constituents. Under the direction of Undergraduate Admissions and in collaboration with Regional Higher Education leadership, this position will assist in developing and implementing strategies to achieve enrollment goals for the Lancaster or Zanesville campuses as well as for new Athens undergraduates. The position will recommend recruitment strategies addressing a range of complex recruitment, admission, and enrollment needs, and will recommend a tactical recruitment plan based on the needs of the territory. The Regional Recruitment Manager initiates, builds, and maintains relationships with constituents on their assigned campus and within the geographic territory while advising on the breadth and depth of opportunities available at OHIO in order to generate enrollment pipelines from the territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and Execution of Recruitment Plans in Assigned Recruitment Territory
  • Represents the campus and the University both on- and off-campus to a wide variety of constituents
  • Counseling and Advising on Admissions and Enrollment Processes
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of trends in the field of admissions and advises constituents on the breadth and depth of opportunities available at OHIO.
  • Evaluates applications and supplemental materials for the purposes of making admission decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field conferred by start date and a minimum of three years of directly related experience. Ability to travel independently up to twelve weeks annually (intermittent; travel requirements vary by position). Demonstrated interpersonal communication and public speaking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with a master’s degree are strongly preferred, but not required. Other preferred, but not required, qualifications include being multi-lingual; previous experience in college admissions, academic advising in higher education, college student personnel, or counseling or teaching in secondary schools.

Pay Rate/Benefits:
The Regional Recruitment Manager is mapped to Pay Grade CA&P 15 at OHIO, with a target hiring range of $43,888-$45,837. The exact base salary for the selected candidate will be negotiable, commensurate with education and experience, and competitive in the field within the context of similarly situated positions at public universities nationally.
