Ohio University’s Regional Higher Education invites applicants for the position of Director of Student Services at the Lancaster Campus.
Regional Higher Education (RHE) consists of five regional campuses serving students throughout southeastern and portions of central Ohio with a comprised enrollment of approximately 4,000 students. Reporting directly to the Dean of Campus & Community Relations, this position leads and supports the student and academic support services for their campus. The Director of Student Services will have a secondary reporting line to the Associate Vice Provost for Regional Higher Education and Partnerships. The Director of Student Services serves a key leadership role for the campus, in the absence of the campus dean (on-campus leadership) and at the direction of the campus dean (in the community), and is a central member of the campus leadership teams. Position Profile |
Assists and empowers students to achieve academic success and social adjustment through a variety of student support activities. Coordinates services including academic tutoring, student learning centers, life skills support and coaching, etc. Shares resources with students through engagement and outreach opportunities.

Level Summary |
Responsible for the management of a unit that performs diverse but related tasks. Handles work and budget planning, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve team objectives. Contributes to divisional or departmental operational plans by aligning unit goals with broader institutional strategies. Accountable for meeting short-term objectives and driving continuous improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities |
Manages a large team or multiple teams. Directly oversees at least 2.0 FTE employees or one or more supervisors. Has authority to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, manage performance, discharge, assign duties, reward, and discipline employees.

Oversees large budgets, including departmental and program-level budgets.

Solves strategic, organizational problems and ensures continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements |
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.

Minimum Qualifications |
Requires a Master’s degree in a related field, 8 or more years of related professional experience, and 5 or more years of supervisory experience, or equivalent education and experience.
