We are based near New Lexington in Perry County, but most of our projects are in Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, and Pickaway counties. Ride sharing is possible for those who live close or along the way.
Crew Leader
Pay range: starting $35 - $45/hr depending on skill, experience and/or productivity, will be evaluated after initial probationary period. Overtime is sometimes required. Payrate may be increased after initial probationary period for highly motivated and productive team member. General: Supervises daily field operations, directing workers in forming, pouring, finishing, and curing concrete for projects. Ensures quality control, adheres to safety regulations (OSHA), interprets blueprints, manages materials, and maintains project schedules. Assists crew as needed to complete projects. Trains crew members. Requires strong technical knowledge and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision: Lead, mentor, and direct the crew, ensuring productivity and high-quality work.
- Operational Planning: Coordinate project phases, including layout, forming, rebar installation, and finishing.
- Quality Control: Verify work, including accuracy of measurements, elevations, grade, and finishing, to meet specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA, MSHA, and company safety policies to ensure a safe job site.
- Technical Execution: Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for accurate placement.
- Resource Management: Manage equipment, tools, and materials.
- Experience: Proven experience as a concrete finisher or lead, with deep knowledge of concrete techniques.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in formwork, concrete placement, and finishing, including use of power tools (e.g., power trowels, saws).
- Leadership: Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license (Commercial Driver's License/CDL is preferred).
