Bike Buckeye Lake's Tour de Buckeye Lake
Tour de Buckeye Lake Cycling Event Back and Bigger!
Being held on Saturday, August 21, Bike Buckeye Lake is anticipating their 2021 Tour de Buckeye Lake cycling event will break its 2019, pre-pandemic event record which brought nearly 500 cyclists to the Buckeye Lake region. The 2020 event was held over a three-day period on a much smaller scale to comply with the COVID-19 health and safety regulations imposed at that time. Bike Buckeye Lake has been harnessing all of the growing excitement that returning to normal brings, and has reshaped this annual event to be the largest one yet.
All riders who register for the event by July 25th will receive a free, 2021 Tour de Buckeye Lake event t-shirt. There are three routes to choose from – an 11-mile route mostly on the Buckeye Lake Dam trail, which is perfect for children and leisure riders, a 28-mile route that adds countryside, and a new metric century that adds beautiful Dawes Arboretum for all riders who want to achieve that major milestone.
Basecamp for Tour de Buckeye Lake will be at the Millersport Lions Club, where registration will be held, the ride will begin and end, and where local favorited musicians Big Bad Stache will be playing live at the after-party from 10:30am-2:30pm. The after-party will be open to the public, and will have food trucks, a beer garden and other fun activities for everyone to enjoy!
To guarantee a free event t-shirt, register by July 25th. Registration and more details about the event, such as free water taxi service for all riders can be found at bikebuckeyelake.org.
All proceeds of Tour de Buckeye Lake go toward our Mission of continuing the development of the multiuse trail around Buckeye Lake.
