The Salvation Army–Serving Lancaster & Fairfield County Among National Recipients for Awakening Foundation Donation
LANCASTER, OHIO (May 22, 2026) – The Salvation Army–Serving Lancaster & Fairfield County partnered with the Awakening Foundation for a memorable night of music and worship by Ben Fuller during The Black Sheep Tour at Fairfield Christian Church. Nearly 30 shows are being performed nationwide throughout the tour, each of which designate $500 to a local cause. The Salvation Army was selected as the Ohio recipient.
Locally, these funds will help The Salvation Army maintain operations and ministries that support seniors, at-risk youth, the working poor and more. The Black Sheep Tour combines entertainment with the purpose of spreading hope through giving opportunities that strengthen local communities.
"We feel honored to be chosen among so many deserving charitable organizations,” said The Salvation Army–Serving Lancaster and Fairfield County Captains Alex and Kelsey Senak. “The goal of this tour aligns with our intentions at The Salvation Army to bring people together in faith and fellowship, knowing they belong to Jesus Christ. This generous donation helps us pursue that continued mission in reaching people across Fairfield County.”
