for Charitable Contributions

LANCASTER, OHIO (November 21, 2025) – An annual Thanksgiving community event is teaming up with The Foundation Dinners to benefit those most in need within Lancaster this season. Coordinated by USA Race Timing & Event Management, the Lancaster Turkey Day 5k selected The Foundation Dinners as this year’s beneficiary for participant donations.

Individuals and families attending the event can donate outside of their required registration fee to support the mission of The Foundation Dinners, with a campaign goal of $5,000. These funds allow essential food items to be purchased for daily meals, along with maintenance needs to their facility due to the frequency of their clientele.

"We're entering our busiest time of year, so this event partnership has really expanded our capacity to serve more people through generous donations," said Rick Chrysler, administrator at The Foundation Dinners. "This is a wonderful initiative and we're thankful to all those that made this happen."

The Foundation Dinners prepares and serves nearly 3,000 meals per month with the help of dedicated volunteers and donations from local churches, organizations, businesses, and industries. With the upcoming holidays and throughout the winter season, Foundation Dinners will expect an increase in meal distributions.

Headquartered in Columbus, USA Race Timing & Event Management has hosted many local events within Fairfield County and surrounding areas. They generously choose local non-profits as donation recipients during annual events, previously supporting central Ohio food pantries, local performing arts groups, veterans, and more.

“As a volunteer for Foundation Dinners for the past three years, I know the magnitude of support they maintain on a daily basis,” said Sam Ridenour, director of operations at USA Race Timing. “Everyone needs a warm meal, and we’re proud to contribute to an organization that prioritizes that every day.”
