Tallmadge Elementary Principal Honored With Award By Science Education Council of Ohio
LANCASTER, OH: Sandra Walker, principal of Tallmadge Elementary School, has been selected to receive the Administrator Award for Leadership in Science Education by the Science Education Council of Ohio.
The Administrator Award for Leadership in Science Education is given to a current elementary, middle or high school administrator who has demonstrated leadership in the development, implementation and maintenance of an outstanding school science program; supported staff development in science; promoted positive relationships between the school's science program and the community; and has been an advocate and leader for the development of science inquiry skills and positive attitudes toward science among students, parents and teachers.
“We are extraordinarily proud of Sandra and her commitment to ensuring that every student has access to the best science curriculum,” said Superintendent Nathan Hale. “Further, fostering an academic environment where a passion for the sciences can flourish is even more commendable.”
As an awardee, Walker will be recognized at the annual SECO Science Symposium Recognition Reception to be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center in Lewis Center, OH.
