Lancaster, Ohio – Aundrea “Aunie” Cordle was inducted as The Rotary Club of Lancaster’s 2026-27 Club President during a “passing of the gavel” from 2025-26 Club President, Stephanie Taylor, on July 6, 2026.
Under Stephanie’s leadership, the club completed 41 service projects, including but not limited to creating Valentine’s Day bags for children in Child Protective Services, packing 2,200 meals at the Fairfield County Senior Hub, collecting various goods for local food pantries, cleaning the
Lancaster bike path, participating in adopt-a-road clean up, volunteering with the Lancaster
Festival Fair Day, and building two Playhouses for Big Brothers Big Sisters in partnership with
Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio. Additionally, the club awarded $94,000 in scholarships to local students and continued raising funds for the Rotary Playground, with $950,000 raised to date. The club hosted its first Battle of the Bands, in which all five participating bands included Rotarians and hosted an exchange student from Switzerland. During the club year, which runs July through June, seven new members joined, and two 50-year members, Pip Ogilvie and Dan Bolger, were honored.
“This year, we really focused on ‘Service Above Self’ by concentrating on service projects that
directly impact members of our community in a variety of ways,” said Taylor, as she thanked her
fellow Rotarians for their participation and engagement. “Many hands make for light work, and that is exactly what happens when you ask Rotarians for their time, talent and treasure,” she said.
The incoming Club President Aunie Cordle, Fairfield County Administrator, said, “I am looking
forward to building upon the successes of my predecessors and seeking out new ways to live out the 2026-27 club year theme: Create Lasting Impact.”
