Rotary Club of Lancaster Receives Major Gift for Accessible Playground
[Lancaster, Ohio] –The Rotary Club of Lancaster recently received a generous gift of $20,000 from Park National Bank to fund the proposed Rotary All-Accessible Playground in Lancaster’s Miller Park.
The playground, which will occupy the current Miller Park along with the All-Abilities Ball Field, is estimated to cost slightly more than $1 million. Rotary has secured more than 50 percent of those funds to date.
“Rotary is proud to lead this effort for all children and families in Lancaster and Fairfield County,” said Rotary President Stephanie Taylor. “But it would not be possible to bring this dream to fruition without the support of leading businesses in our community like Park National Bank.”
“Park National Bank is proud to support the Rotary All-Accessible Playground,” said Laura Tussing, Regional President of Park National Bank. “We’re excited to see the lasting impact it will have in our community—creating a space where children and families of all abilities can come together, play, and enjoy green spaces that welcome everyone.”
Donations for the project are being sought, and interested donors can contribute through the Fairfield County Foundation, www.fairfieldcountyfoundation.org. The name of the fund is Rotary Club of Lancaster Playground Fund.
The Rotary Club of Lancaster is part of Rotary International, the world’s first service club organization, with a mission to promote Service Above Self.
