Amanda-Clearcreek Student Among Selected Performers for All-Ohio State Fair Band

AMANDA, Ohio (August 17, 2026) Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools (A-C) sophomore Emily Wilson was selected as a student musician for the 2026 All-Ohio State Fair Band. Wilson, who plays clarinet in the A-C marching band, performed with fellow instrumentalists from schools across Ohio’s 88 counties during the 102nd Ohio State Fair.

With daily performances throughout the fairgrounds, commencing with an opening day concert at the Ohio Statehouse, the All-Ohio State Fair Band showcased more than 60 songs during their 14-day tour. Performance sites included the Park of Roses, Rhodes Lawn, Voinovich Livestock and Trade Center, and the newly completed Ohio Showcase, among others.

Under the leadership of Brian W. Dodd, who entered his 20th year as director, the band recites both traditional and marching-style concerts for fairgoers, a tradition that has persisted since its inception in 1925.

“This is a tremendous achievement for Emily to be selected as a student performer for the All-Ohio State Fair Band,” said Dr. Timothy Edwards, superintendent of Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools. “A-C is proud of Emily and her accomplishments, and we continue to be grateful for our district’s band and music programs that help students discover their talents and create music together.”

The All-Ohio State Fair Band is an application-based program, with students chosen upon musical proficiency, instrumentation needs of the band, and a formal recommendation from the respective school’s band director. For more information, visit www.aosfb.com.
