Local Rotary Clubs Name Southeastern Machining and Field Service as 2026 Ethics Award Winner
LANCASTER, Ohio (May 4, 2026) – Southeastern Machining and Field Service of Lancaster was awarded the 2026 John T. Dye Rotary Business Ethics Award by the Lancaster Rotary Club at its meeting on April 20.
The award, presented annually by the Lancaster Ohio Rotary and the Rotary Club of Lancaster-Sherman, recognizes a local business that has been nominated by its peers in the community for demonstrating outstanding ethical practices in its work. This year’s winner was selected by a committee of members from both clubs from seven different nominations.
“Their commitment to the community is evident in the ‘people over profit mentality’ that they embrace,” the nomination stated.
Recipients of the award are businesses that display Rotary International’s Four-Way Test, that asks: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Southeastern Machining and Field Serve demonstrates strong ethics that mirror Rotary International’s Four-Way Test and is a treasured business in the community.
“It is an honor to receive this award,” said John Treitmaier, owner of Southeastern Machining and Field Service, “Montanna (John’s daughter and co-owner of the company) and I will always run a company that is characterized by love, appreciation, and respect for both our customers and employees.”
The Rotary Club of Lancaster is part of Rotary International, the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self. The Lancaster Rotary Club is comprised of approximately 140 business and community leaders and professionals who meet weekly for programs, networking, and friendship on Mondays at Noon.
