Lancaster-Sherman Rotary, in Partnership
with Double Edge Brewery and Fairfield Medical Center, Adopts AVIVE AED
[Lancaster, Ohio] –The Rotary Club of Lancaster-Sherman has expanded Automated External Defibrillator (AED) availability with the recent installation of an Avive Connect at their weekly meeting location, Double Edge Brewery. In coordination with Fairfield Medical Center’s Community Heart Watch, Double Edge will be a Heart Safe Accredited Business, joining 800+ businesses in Fairfield County equipped with AEDs.
Spearheaded by Lancaster-Sherman co-presidents Christa Moody and Devon Naim, alongside Double Edge Brewery owner, Zac Williams, this initiative increases emergency response within downtown Lancaster for cardiac arrest.
“We are thrilled to see this response initiative come to fruition,” said Christa Moody and Devon Naim. “This is a tremendous milestone for our rotary club as we safeguard the health of our members and the local community.”
Community Heart Watch leaders, Dr. John Lazarus, FMC Interventional Cardiologist, and Matt Wideman, Fairfield Federal Executive Vice President, facilitated the presentation and installation of the AED. Formal training of Double Edge’s staff and Lancaster-Sherman Rotary members will be conducted this month.
“This is an essential next step for Double Edge and our patrons,” said Zac Williams. “We value the critical work of Community Heart Watch and appreciate their program that is equipping our business with a life-saving resource.”
The Avive AED will be registered on the PulsePoint App for emergency dispatchers and other Heart Safe Accredited organizations to locate in the event of cardiac arrest.
