Lancaster Rotary Names Double Edge Brewing Co. as 2025 Ethics Award Winner

Lancaster, Ohio – Double Edge Brewing Company of Lancaster, Ohio, was awarded the 2025 John T. Dye Rotary Business Ethics Award by the Lancaster Rotary Club at its meeting on Monday, April 21.

Presented annually by the Lancaster (Ohio) Rotary and the Rotary Club of Lancaster-Sherman, the award recognizes a local business that has been nominated by its peers in the community for demonstrating outstanding ethical practices in its work. This year’s winner was selected by a committee of members from both clubs out of more than a dozen nominations.

“Double Edge Brewing Company’s commitment to the community is evident in the way that they use their tremendous reach to elevate causes that impact all facets of our community,” a member of the Sherman Rotary Club said in their nomination.

Recipients of the award are businesses that display Rotary International’s Four-Way Test, which asks: Is it the truth, is it fair to all concerned, will it build goodwill and better friendships, and will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Double Edge Brewing Company demonstrates strong ethics that mirror the Rotary International’s Four-Way Test and is a treasured business in the community.

“We’ve always aimed to build our business on values that prioritize people, community, and doing what’s right – this is both humbling and affirming,” said Zac Williams, Double Edge Brewing co-founder. “Thank you to everyone responsible for this recognition, as well as the entire Lancaster community for inspiring us every day.”

The award is named after the late John T. Dye, a member of the Rotary Club of Lancaster for many years, who demonstrated Rotary’s Four-Way Test and served our local community tirelessly.

The Rotary Club of Lancaster is part of Rotary International, the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide.
