Lancaster City Schools Welcomes 60+ Central Ohio Businesses for Robust Career Fair
February 19, 2026 [Lancaster, OH] – Lancaster High School welcomed more than 60 area businesses to showcase their industries to students grades 9-12 on Thursday, February 12 during a mock interview session and career fair. An essential part of LHS’ Career-Technical Education program, which features 12 unique pathways, career exploration supports upperclassmen’s transition from high school to future opportunities following graduation.
CTE students participate annually in mock interviews to practice their communication skills, gain professional networking experience, and receive constructive feedback to consider in preparation for actual job interviews down the road.
Students spend ample time learning and rehearsing for interviews before meeting with employers. Complete with a job application and dressed in professional business attire, this event serves as a bridge between education and the workforce.
“This event was a tremendous opportunity for all high school students, regardless of their current career pursuits,” said John Sheridan, Career Pathways and Work-Based Learning Coach at Lancaster High School. “It opens doors for them to network, explore their interests, understand the range of possibilities, and lead them to a more stable, secure future. We are blown away by the turnout and support of the businesses that spent time connecting with our students.”
LHS CTE programs integrate both academic knowledge and practical skills to refine students’ confidence and versatility prior to entering secondary education, military service, apprenticeships and internships, and careers.
An impressive variety of Central Ohio employers volunteered their time during the career fair to meet with students, provide awareness and depth into their respective fields, and plant seeds for future decisions. Business participants included:
