Fairfield Homes Celebrates Grand Opening of The Reserve at Mt. Gilead II

Lancaster, Ohio – Fairfield Homes, Inc., a full-service development, construction and property management company, officially opened phase two of The Reserve at Mt. Gilead property with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 10.

The Reserve at Mount Gilead II adds an additional 43 units to the property, which opened its first phase in November of 2024. The community now offers a total of 90 one- and two-bedroom units to serve residents 55 years of age and older. The convenient location, within a one-mile radius of restaurants, a supermarket, pharmacy, medical clinic, hospital, public recreation and employment opportunities, is ideal for residents.

"We are excited to complete phase two of this community and bring the residents of Morrow County a safe, affordable housing option with a unique set of on-site supportive services designed to enhance the quality of life for our residents,” said Jennifer Gorsuch Walters, President of Fairfield Homes, Inc. “We are proud to collaborate with so many trusted community and funding partners who have worked tirelessly to bring this project to life.”

The premier new construction community will provide on-site supportive services to the senior residents in partnership with United Church Homes and support from Seniors on Center. The services will include coordination of wellness services (meals, homemaker services, utility assistance, etc.), health and medical assistance, legal counseling, transportation services, and connections to resources and information.

“As the financing partner for The Reserve at Mount Gilead II, Park National Bank is proud to support our long-standing client whose commitment to affordable senior housing strengthens the fabric of the Mount Gilead community,” said Laura Tussing, Chief Banking Officer, Park National Bank. “This development reflects our shared vision of creating accessible, dignified living spaces that promote wellness, connection and independence. Affordable housing is a critical need in our community and we are so pleased to be a part of this important project.”

"Opening the second phase of The Reserve at Mt. Gilead means that Morrow County has extended the support it can give to older Ohioans,” said Grant Miller, Legislative Liaison, Ohio Housing Finance Agency. “When seniors have access to all of the services The Reserve offers, they can stay in the neighborhoods they love for longer."
