Fairfield Homes Announces Development of 95-Unit Reserve At Hunters Trace in Lancaster

Lancaster, OH - Fairfield Homes, Inc., a full-service property management, development and construction company, is proud to announce the development of Reserve at Hunter Trace, a high-quality, environmentally sustainable, and well-connected community near the Fairfield Heritage Trail bike path and just one mile from downtown Lancaster. All units in this affordable housing development for individuals age 55+ will be reserved for residents at or below 60% of the area median income.

"With almost a third of Fairfield County’s population being 55 and older, it's essential that we keep working to create affordable housing that addresses the specific needs of these residents," said Jennifer Gorsuch Walters, President of Fairfield Homes, Inc. "We are proud to support our community by offering high-quality housing that ensures local seniors can experience comfort, security, convenience, and a strong sense of community." The three-story, elevator-serviced building, which will be available in 2026, will feature 70 one-bedroom and 25 two-bedroom apartments, all designed with energy efficiency and comfort in mind. Each unit will include Energy Star appliances, walk-in closets, and vinyl plank flooring. Residents will also enjoy shared community spaces such as a lounge, a community room with a kitchenette, resident storage, a laundry room, and an on-site leasing office. The project will meet sustainability standards under the U.S. Green Building Council rating system to ensure long-term environmental sustainability.

“The City of Lancaster is proud to partner with Fairfield Homes on this project. As our population continues to age, Lancaster needs more quality, accessible housing options for its seniors,” said Mayor Don McDaniel. “The Reserve at Hunter Trace promises to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment where residents can age gracefully and stay connected to our community.”

Fairfield Homes will serve as developer and property manager. We are proud to bring together the following trusted partners to make the project possible: Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA), Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH), Huntington Bank, Affordable Housing Trust of Franklin County, Churchill Stateside Group, City of Lancaster, Lancaster Port Authority, Columbus Design Co., and Gorsuch Construction, Inc.
