Fairfield County Foundation’s 37-Hour Give will Once Again Feature $100,000 in Matching Funds Thanks to Special Donation
“Our annual GIVE events have become an incredibly impactful way to support our community,” said Amy Eyman, CEO of the Fairfield County Foundation. “The matching funds, which we’ve been able to significantly increase over the past several years thanks to the generosity of Lloyd and Diann Helber, have generated new excitement and increased participation in the event. We can’t wait to see local donors rise to the occasion once again. Every gift goes further during the GIVE, and together we can make a lasting difference for the nonprofits that serve Fairfield County.”
What Donors Need to Know
- Gifts must be made during the 37-Hour Give, from 8 a.m. Dec. 1 through 9 p.m. Dec. 2., to be eligible for matching funds.
- Donations can be made online at https://fairfieldcf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/list. Once on the site, type the name of the fund you wish to support in the “Search Funds” bar. You can also give in person at the Fairfield County Foundation offices. In person donations must be made by 4 p.m.
- on Dec. 2. Donations sent through the mail will not count toward the match.
- Every gift given during the event is eligible for a share of the $100,000 in matching funds, so your donation goes even further.
- To be eligible for matching funds, you must have a fund at the Fairfield County Foundation, as all donations and matching dollars will be added to the designated fund.
- Fundholders should secure new donations from individual donors. These donations must be made during the event hours and through the approved methods listed above to be eligible for matching funds.
- $100,000 in matching gifts will be awarded this year. All donations received during the 37-Hour Give will be eligible for matching funds on a pro-rata basis, which gives everyone who participates the opportunity to have their donations increased.
- Matching gifts will be distributed based on the percentage each fund receives of the total contributions made during the 37-Hour Give. For example, a fund with donations that account for 5% of the total 37-Hour Give contributions would receive 5% of the $100,000 in matching funds, or $5,000. No single gift, by an individual, to a single organization, can receive more than 20% of the total match amount.
