Fairfield County Foundation Grants $50,000 To Area Food Pantries

LANCASTER, Ohio – The Fairfield County Foundation is pleased to announce the distribution of grants totaling $50,000 to 16 local food pantries in advance of the holiday season. This year, $35,000 was donated through the George and Dollie L. Zimpfer Memorial Fund, and $15,000 from the proceeds of the annual 250 Plates Community Meal, which has grown to more than 320 attendees since it started in 2019.

“Local food pantries serve as a vital resource for individuals and families across our community, providing essential support and connection for neighbors who may need a little extra help during this time of year,” said Amy Eyman, Chief Executive Officer of the Fairfield County Foundation. “The Fairfield County Foundation takes pride in our tradition of contributing to local food pantries during the holiday season.”

Donations were distributed to the following food pantries:

  • Maple Street Community Kitchen
  • Bremen Food Pantry
  • Maywood Mission
  • The Community Food Pantry - Canal Winchester
  • Millersport Community Food Pantry
  • Compassion In Action - Eagle Rock Church
  • Pickerington Food Pantry
  • Foundation Dinners
  • Rushville Church Food Pantry
  • Lancaster Vineyard Food Pantry
  • Salvation Army
  • Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Agency
  • St. Vincent de Paul Society
  • LSS Fairfield County Food Pantry
  • Victory Center Food Pantry
