Fairfield County Foundation Announces New Board Members for 2025
LANCASTER, Ohio --The Fairfield County Foundation has recently welcomed three new members to its Board of Trustees: Morgan Lyles, Kate Smiley and Woodson Winfree.
“The Foundation is pleased to welcome these exceptional community members to our Board of Trustees,” said Amy Eyman, Chief Executive Officer of the Fairfield County Foundation. “Each of them has demonstrated a passion for supporting our community and will bring their own unique and diverse experience and perspectives to our work together. We look forward to their contributions as members of the Foundation Board.”
Morgan Lyles is a partner at Stebelton Snider, where she routinely assists clients with estate planning, probate and trust administration, business formation and advising, and real estate practice, including supporting the firm’s title agency. She is a member and current chair of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Agriculture Law Committee and a former board member for Fairfield Industries. Prior to joining Stebelton Snider in 2021, Morgan was senior staff counsel at the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Morgan received her bachelor's degree from Ohio University in 2010 and juris doctor from Capital University Law School in 2013.
Kate Smiley has more than 15 years of financial industry experience at Park National Bank, with a career focus in community leadership, management, sales, talent recruitment, public speaking, project management, L&D facilitation, and human resources. An avid network and relationship builder, Kate is frequently invited to participate in growth and innovation-driven projects for corporate initiatives. She is also owner and employment coach at South Broad Consulting, where she helps primarily women successfully reenter the workforce after a career break. Kate received her bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and is certified by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). She is co-chair for the Women's Giving Circle and serves on the Grant Committee at the Foundation, Capital Campaign Chair for the Harcum House, a Destination Downtown Lancaster board member, Cameo League board member, Fairfield County Business Advisory Council member, Lancaster Rotary Club member and past president of the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio Board of Trustees.
Woodson (Woody) Winfree is a part owner of Winfree & Associates, CPA, which he opened out of his home in 1986 and later moved to an office in Pickerington in 1990. He continues to serve clients in a wide variety of industries in Pickerington and beyond. Woody is a 1979 graduate of West Virginia University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in business, majoring in accounting and minoring in computer science. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1986 and is a member of the AICPA and the Ohio Society of CPAs. An active member of the Pickerington community, Woody has served as president and treasurer of the area Chamber of Commerce, treasurer for the Pickerington Local School District funding campaigns, and founding member, as well as treasurer and head of the Grounds Committee for the first 10 years of the Violet Festival held in Pickerington each July. He has served as a deacon of his Church and a member of Madison Christian School Board. Woody has been married to Cynthia for over 43 years, and they have five adult children and six grandchildren.
