FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 10, 2025Fairfield County Foundation 2026-2027 Scholarship Application Available Online Now
LANCASTER, Ohio --The Fairfield County Foundation is currently accepting applications for more than 100 different scholarship funds for local students for the 2026-2027 school year using one online application, which can be found at https://www.fairfieldcountyfoundation.org/scholarships/applications. The application officially opened December 1, 2025 and the deadline to submit applications is Friday, March 6, 2026. Applicants are encouraged to check out the scholarships page on our website for more details, criteria, tips and frequently asked questions to assist in filling out the application. The Foundation’s application system filters down which scholarships students are eligible to receive based on the criteria of each scholarship fund.“Our scholarship offerings continue to expand, opening doors for students with a wide range of interests and goals,” said Amy Eyman, Chief Executive Officer, Fairfield County Foundation. “As the cost of education climbs, we’re committed to easing that burden and helping local students pursue their next chapter. Whether you’re a high school senior heading to college for the first time, an adult returning to school after time in the workforce, or someone pursuing technical or trade training, there’s a scholarship designed to support your path forward.”
The Foundation will be hosting a Scholarship and FAFSA Night on Wednesday, January 7 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the Fairfield County District Library Main Branch. This event is open to the public.
Register online at: https://fcdlibrary.libnet.info/event/15112350. High school seniors are advised to check with their counseling department on scholarship and FAFSA events being held at their school.
The Foundation staff will conduct a preliminary review for completeness on all applications submitted by Friday, February 9, 2026. Applicants will receive an email with any issues by March 1, 2026 so that any problems can be corrected before the final deadline on Friday, March 6, 2026. This does not increase the chances of receiving a scholarship, but provides an opportunity for mistakes to be corrected before the deadline and decreases the possibility of an application being ineligible.
Generally, scholarships are reserved for residents of Fairfield County or graduates of a high school in Fairfield County; however, there are a few that are available to students outside of the county.
Applicants can be graduating high school seniors, current undergraduate, graduate, non-traditional or vocation/technical school students.
Students are highly encouraged to apply each year they will be attending post-secondary education as their eligibility could change for specific scholarships and new scholarships are established each year. For example, this year we have added the Abby Janning Planisek Memorial Scholarship for nursing students and the Cheryl A. MacEachen Memorial Scholarship for those majoring in education, English or history.
