Fairfield Center for Independence Announces Car Wash and Bake Sale Fundraiser

LANCASTER, Ohio – Community members can help make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities while getting their car washed and picking up fresh baked treats during the Fairfield Center for Independence's (FCI) annual summer fundraiser.

The combined car wash and bake sale will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 10, in the center’s parking lot, located at 681 E. Sixth Ave., Lancaster.

Members of FCI’s Adult Day Services (ADS) program will be on site to greet customers and assist with washing vehicles as they are able. Homemade baked goods, prepared by an individual who participates in the ADS program, will also be available for purchase.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will help support FCI’s four core programs: Transportation Services, the Ramps and Accessibility Program, the Medical Equipment Lending Library, and the Adult Day Services Program.

“We are excited to welcome the community for this fun fundraiser,” said Josh Stevens, Executive Director of Fairfield Center for Independence. “This event gives people the opportunity to meet some of the individuals we serve, learn more about our programs, and see firsthand the impact the Fairfield Center for Independence has throughout Fairfield County. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community, which helps us continue providing services that promote independence and improve quality of life."

Car washes are available for a donation of any amount, and baked goods will be available for purchase at individually marked prices. Cash and checks will be accepted.

The Fairfield Center for Independence provides services and resources that help individuals with disabilities and older adults remain active, engaged, and independent in their homes and communities.
