Dog Licensing Deadline is January 31st – Mail in Applications are Available
Lancaster, Ohio – Dog license season began in December, and the Auditor’s Office has made it easier
than ever to license your pup! We’ve partnered with DocuPet to offer a quick and convenient way to apply online at fairfield.docupet.com.
Ohio law requires all dogs over three months old to be licensed, and dog tags help lost pets find their way home.
Licenses are available for one year, three years, or a lifetime, and can be purchased:
• Online
• At the Auditor’s Office
• At the Fairfield County Dog Shelter (Lancaster)
• At the Clerk of Courts Title Office (Pickerington)
• By completing and mailing in the attached form (also found at https://bit.ly/FCDogOfflineApp)
The deadline to license your dog is January 31, 2026.
For more information, questions, or to apply over the phone, contact our office at (740) 0652-7020.
