Amanda-Clearcreek Announces Hiring of A-C Alum Melissa Griffith as Treasurer

   
AMANDA, Ohio (August 1, 2026) – Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools (A-C) today announced the hiring of district treasurer, Melissa Griffith. An A-C Class of 1992 alum and Circleville native, Griffith brings 25 years of experience in K-12 school finance.
 
Griffith begins her duties on August 1 and will succeed Lana Fairchild, who served as Amanda-Clearcreek’s treasurer for the past six years. Fairchild spearheaded significant budget initiatives, including a cost-effective systems approach that supported district and student programming.
 
Griffith’s tenured career in K-12 school finance spans across a range of Ohio’s public-school districts, including work in Circleville, Columbus, and Chillicothe. She has worked in districts ranging from 1,000 to 22,000 students, the state’s fourth largest. Griffith attained her Ohio Public School Treasurer's License in 2004 and broadened her credentials in 2022 with the Ohio Public School Business Manager's License.

Prior to her experience in treasury leadership, Griffith gained financial aptitude as a payroll clerk, developing critical skills that advanced her pathway to finance and operation support as district treasurer. Griffith’s seasoned experience has forged strong relations in the education field and led to a student-focused approach in her leadership style.
