AHA! Children's Museum Offers SNAP-Eligible Admission Discounts Through National Museum Initiative

  LANCASTER, Ohio – AHA! Children’s Museum is a participating institution in the Museums for All initiative, increasing access to low-income children and families through free and reduced admission. This national program adopts a welcoming atmosphere for community members to visit more than 1,600 museums across the country to reinforce the inclusive nature of learning and exploration.
 
AHA! Children's Museum joined this program to support public access for new and existing guests without the burden of cost. Families presenting Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)/Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards receive reduced admission at $3 per person, from ages 12 months and up, with a limit of four people per family.
 
“This is a tremendous program for our community and those traveling from surrounding counties,” said Julia Hilty, Executive Director of AHA! Children’s Museum. “We’re proud to extend this benefit to more families and witness the positive trend of visits and greater enjoyment as a result.”
 
Museums for All was introduced by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) in 2015 and administered by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) to increase visitor traffic of the various exhibits and activities offered by participating museums.
With additional grant funding from the R. Alvin Stevenson Fund at The Columbus Foundation, Museums for All will continue at AHA! Children’s Museum through July 2026, with intent of extending this benefit further.
