Transportation Manager

Are you passionate about helping older adults? Do you want to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors in our community? The Senior Hub–Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is seeking a full-time Transportation Manager to coordinate and schedule transportation services for clients traveling to and from medical appointments.

This position plays a vital role in helping older adults maintain their independence and access essential healthcare services. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with both clients and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions
  • Manage transportation staff and agency fleet
  • Schedule clients for transportation services through The Senior Hub or outside referral sources
  • Maintain documentation and service plans
  • Complete all required training to transport clients and become a certified COAAA Drive Training instructor
  • Serve as a backup transportation driver as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the agency mission

Requirements
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Minimum of one year experience in the social service sector; experience working with older adults preferred
  • Ability to complete in-person CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and proof of insurance
