: Housing Director
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to the Executive Director

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administers Homeless Youth Programs and Region 9 Homeless Crisis Response Program (HCRP) Coordinated Entry Liaison activities
  • Administers Home Repair/Home Rehab programs. Maintains all housing project and program records including, but not limited to: Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP), Healthy Homes Production Grant, Lead Safe Ohio program, Housing Tax Credit Projects, and Supportive Housing Program to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Understands local, state and federal regulations to assure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity, Tier I and Tier II Environmental Review compliance, Lead Based Paint Hazards, and other relevant environmental regulations and procurement practices
  • Responsible for financial management, records, financial reports, and processing disbursements
  • Prepares performance/progress reports for multiple housing programs and projects
  • Identifies and obtains resources for housing programs
  • Prepares funding proposals and grant applications for housing programs
  • Develops policies and procedures for housing programs
  • Develops strategies for new housing assistance and development programs and implements programs
  • Receives housing assistance applications
  • Verifies eligibility of applicants and recommends assistance type
  • Receives and assists in resolving conflicts including conflicts between homeowners and contractors
  • Conducts outreach for qualified construction contractors to conduct home repair and rehabilitation projects
  • Coordinates housing-related activities with the Fairfield County Board of Commissioners
  • Coordinates activities and meetings for the Fairfield County Housing Coalition and Homeless Planning Region 9
  • Responds to monitoring reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able and willing to successfully complete all housing development trainings• Must demonstrate knowledge of available services within community
  • Must possess good organizational skills

Pay Range: $29.66 to $31.71 per hour, depending on education and experience
