What You’ll Do (Includes, but not limited to):
As a Behavior Support Strategist, you will play a key role in:
  • Developing and monitoring behavior support strategies rooted in dignity, respect, and individual choice
  • Ensuring strategies reflect the least restrictive, most positive approach to supporting individuals with behavioral or medical needs
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, families, and providers to support people of all ages
  • Coordinating training for teams to ensure proper implementation of individualized support plans
  • Ensuring plans comply with all applicable rules and ethical standards, especially Rule 5123-2-06
  • Promoting safe, supportive environments that foster personal growth and reduce reliance on restrictive measures
 
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Appreciated):
  • Experience with behavior tracking systems and data-informed decision making
  • Comfort working in team settings that include families, advocates, and providers
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and person-centered planning

The starting hourly rate for this position is $23.93 and is based upon experience and qualifications and includes full county benefits. Qualification requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in related field; OR all of the following: completion of 3 years college level education with 5 years paid work experience in the field and completion of a Bachelor’s degree within 1 year of beginning position, as well as a minimum of three years paid full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience in developing and/or implementing behavior support and/or risk reduction strategies.
