Brief Description
Develop and modify CNC mill programs using Gibbs CAM to specific drawings while supervising hourly operators in a union workforce.  Responsible for manufacturing quality products to meet established schedules while maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for safety and environmental compliance of department
  • Program all CNC Mills
  • Plans and assigns work according to employees’ ability and urgency of production
  • Requests manufacturing process changes to improve quality and costs of products
  • Supervise and schedule all daily activities within department of responsibility
  • Maintain department production and project schedules
  • Responsible for employee utilization and efficiency
  • Responsible for product quality 
  • Schedule and approve all hourly employee labor hours
  • Work overtime as needed

Education and Professional Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED, Vocational/Technical degree or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in shop operations
  • Previous shop supervision in a unionized environment is preferred.
