The Grants Coordinator plays a key role in securing and managing funding to support the mission of the Fairfield ADAMH Board. This position is responsible for researching and identifying funding opportunities, writing and submitting grant applications, and building collaborative partnerships to strengthen proposals. In addition, the Grants Coordinator oversees awarded grants, ensuring compliance with guidelines, timely reporting, and accurate data collection. Working closely with leadership, program staff, and finance, this role supports strategic planning, program development, and system-wide needs assessments.
This position requires that an individual is familiar with the Behavioral Health Field and public organizations, has excellent writing and other communication skills. S/he is responsible for grant development and management, to include researching funding options, writing and applying for appropriate grants, forming partnerships for the purpose of grant applications. Grants Coordinator will also be responsible for management of awarded grants to include guidelines, reports, data and compliance.
The ideal candidate has strong writing and communication skills, knowledge of behavioral health and public organizations, and the ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and attention to detail.

Duties

- Manages all Grants awarded and maintained by ADAMH.
- Manages timeline and data collection required of each grant.
- Collects or oversees collection of all data in an organized, collaborative, and transparent process. Serves as point person for data collection and use at the organization. Understands requirements and guidelines of all grants and assures compliance with grantor and all other regulatory bodies.
- Manages and assures timely submission of all required reports for grants.
- Facilitates appropriate publication of grant results and outcomes to share with Board members, stakeholders, and community.
- Shares all data, reports, and findings with program staff to assist in strategic planning. 8. Develops and writes Community Assessment and Plan.
- Collaborates with Finance staff on Grant awards, reporting, invoicing and allocations to providers as appropriate.
- Collaborates with program and finance staff on content of contracts and contract modifications for providers receiving grant funds.
- Along with the Finance Department completes any budgets and other documents related to grants and programs for renewal.
- Works with Finance Department to provide all requested OMHAS program reports on grants using the GFMS system.
- Attend assigned committees, meetings, and events.
- Maintains current knowledge of HIPAA and adheres to privacy and security requirements.
- Works abnormal hours based upon service needs.
- Travel as needed

Qualifications
-
- Master’s Degree in communications, business, social work, public administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree and 3-years of administrative experience in a government, non-profit or other service-related field doing grants writing and/or management.
- Experience in Behavioral Health agencies and/or population health work a plus.
- Experience writing proposals and grants or equivalent.
- Experience with regulatory, fidelity or accreditation standards.
- Experience in managing grants or programs, including developing reports and collecting data.
- Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve in a variety of circumstances; manage projects; comprehend local, state, and federal laws/regulations impacting Board.
- Ability to understand and succinctly summarize a wide variety of data or information
