We are seeking an experienced and skilled Event Manager to oversee and coordinate the planning, execution, and evaluation of all events at our winery and events venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all events, including corporate functions, weddings, and social gatherings, are executed in a seamless and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of events, including budgeting, catering, and accommodations
  • Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and preferences
  • Develop and manage event timelines, schedules, and budgets
  • Negotiate with vendors, including caterers, event staff, and other service providers
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and hotel policies
  • Manage event logistics, including setup and teardown, and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available
  • Oversee event staff, including servers, bartenders, and event coordinators
  • Monitor and manage event finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking
  • Collaborate with hotel departments, including sales, marketing, and housekeeping
  • Identify opportunities for fundraising and revenue growth through events
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract attendees to events
  • Maintain accurate records of all events, including planning documents, event schedules, and financial reports
  • Continuously evaluate event success and identify opportunities for improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event management, preferably in a hotel setting
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with budgeting, catering, and restaurant operations
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations
  • Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
