Gay Fad Studios Celebration of Gay Fad Museum Expansion Ribbon Cutting
Gay Fad Studios Museum Expansion Ribbon Cutting
Did you know that distinctive midcentury glassware was designed and decorated right here in Lancaster? Gay Fad Studios, founded by Fran Taylor in 1939, became known for its colorful, hand-decorated glassware and barware. The newly expanded museum will showcase hundreds of original pieces, along with artwork, photographs, and other pieces of Gay Fad history.
Thanks to the generosity of Park National Bank, local businesses, and individual sponsors, the museum has a new home within Park National Bank’s downtown lobby and seven museum-quality showcases to display the collection.
Join us for the ribbon cutting and unveiling on Friday, October 9 from 3:00–5:00 PM at Park National Bank, 143 W. Main Street. Enjoy refreshments and get a first look at this unique collection of Lancaster history.
All are welcome!
