SUMMARY:2023 National Civics Bee - Local Competition
DESCRIPTION:The Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the first-ever local Civics Bee competition\, April 26 at Ohio University Lancaster. \n\n\n\nThe event will feature 20 local students based on essays submitted in the opening phase of the competition earlier this year. \n\n\n\nRegistration will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the event kicking-off at 10 a.m. A reception for our participants will take place shortly after the competition around Noon. \n\n\n\nThe event consists of three rounds   two multiple-choice quiz rounds that will narrow the field to five participants\, followed by a third round where our finalists will be quizzed on their essays by a panel of local judges.\n\n\n\nPrizes will be given to all 20 participants\, including a goodie bag from local Chamber members and an Amazon Fire tablet\, which your student will be using during the live competition. The top three participants during the event will receive cash prizes up to $500 and will advance to the State Civics Bee competition\, June 27-29.\n\n \n\n\nThe National Civics Bee is presented by the Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce\, with support from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
